The Australian Prayer Network has established a Watchmen School of Intercession for the purpose of training up Christians in how to pray for our Nation and the Nations of the world as well as for the Church in Australia and beyond.
There have already been several Foundational (Level 1) Courses held in Sydney and around New South Wales. Further foundational courses will continue to be held at other locations across New South Wales over the next 12 months. These will be advised across our network as they occur. This Intermediate Level School is for those who have completed any of the Foundation Schools already held. The Intermediate Level School is for those people who feel called to a ministry of prayer and intercession, especially as it relates to cities and nations.
The topics of the Intermediate level Course are:
Understanding your gift of intercession and the pitfalls to be avoided
The role of prophetic prayer
How to research your community
Weapons of warfare and our armour
Spiritual strongholds and how to deal with them
Prayer and Evangelism
Called as Kingdom worshippers
How to pray in difficult times
A feature of the School will be its faith based nature. There is no up-front registration cost for the School however a faith offering towards the costs of the School including accommodation, meals and Conference expenses will be taken at the School. Delegates are asked to seek the Lord as to how much they are to contribute towards the offering according to their faith and financial resources. All bedding, meals and free car parking will be provided. Those attending need only bring their own towel and personal items they require, including pen and paper for note taking.
Those wishing to attend must firstly register with Gordon Griffiths at gpgriff@ihug.com.au or (02) 9476.8238. When registering please advise your postal address and a telephone contact number and the Foundation School you attended. Registrations close 16th January or when all available accommodation has been allocated.
