Rev Jim Wilson is a minister in the Anglican Church in America. He is Co-Director of the National Day of Repentance in USA and co founder of PrayNorthstate.He is the author of several books, hosts a radio program and has a blog read by more than 400,000 people.
B. Friday November 21st. A small group have planned to visit Bridgeman Baptist Community Church. This church started as a small group and now has a growing congregation of around 2000 each week. It has that special something, a church you would want to take your friends to. We have an appointment to meet with the senior pastor, Peter Sweetman who my daughter describes as humble, wise, passionate and driven. Please join us, this church has lots to teach and inspire congregations who wish to grow.
19th October 2.30 Wollongong Welsh Choir is holding a Festival of Song (traditional hymns) at the Corrimal Region Uniting Church. Visitors are invited to come and experience something that may be new plus stay for light refreshments.
3rd November 2014. Preaching seminar with Mike Raiter.
“Preaching that connects; Getting applications right” – “Exegesis is easy. It’s application that’s hard.” Many of us struggle to bring applications that are true to the text and speak into people’s lives. This workshop will explore how we can preach sermons that connect.
7th November 2014 Shellharbour Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast at Bella Portofino Shellharbour. This is a combined churches event encouraging the wider Christian community to pray for the city. Special speaker Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione. It will also be the launch of CityServe Shellharbour

A pastor was leaving his area and was saying farewell to his congregation at the Church doors for the last time. He shook the hand of an elderly lady as she walked out. She said “Your successor won’t be as good as you.” “Nonsense”, said the pastor, in a flattered tone. “No, really”, said the old lady, “I’ve been here under five different ministers, and each new one has been worse than the last.
