A testimony of a renewed love of prayer
I was listening to a local pastor sharing a recent experience.
He was feeling a bit dry so he and his wife had a spiritual retreat together. They made time to pray. The discipline of prayer became addictive. He relates “I prayed until I was praying”. He now has an ongoing love of prayer which is also recognised by those in his church.
Let’s be just as alert to our own walk with Jesus as was this sensitive leader.

City Serve Results: An amazing day at Shellharbour with 150-200 volunteers from the local churches. The details are impressive, even down to a report that Lloyd Ollerenshaw ate 4 sausage sandwiches!
Friday 7th November 2014 Shellharbour Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast at Bella Portofino Shellharbour. This is a combined churches event encouraging the wider Christian community to pray for the city. Special speaker Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione. It will also be the launch of CityServe Shellharbour
Saturday 8th November 2014. Lights, Glamour Auction at the Hope Centre Food Barn Warrawong. Thousands of dollars worth of items are up for auction (see list). Tickets $30 which includes dinner. A black tie event. All proceeds go towards the Food Barn which is under increasing pressure with a 40% increase in clients this year. Most of the 120 tickets have been sold. Friday November 21st – Sunday 23rd. A small group have planned to visit Bridgeman Baptist Community Church in Brisbane This church has a growing congregation of around 2000 each week. You are invited to meet with the senior pastor, Peter Sweetman. My daughter describes him as as humble, wise, passionate and driven. This church has lots to teach and inspire any congregation that wishes to grow. The heart of the church is centred in following Jesus who, “welcomed the crowds, spoke to them about the Kingdom of heaven and healed those who needed healing.” Luke 9:11.
