The “Colossus” of Colossae
Colossae was small. Its church was smaller. The church problems were big. The Christ of the church is much bigger.
Paul had not visited the church but was responsible for its founding and concerned for its welfare.
We do not know precisely what their problems were. We can read his two letters to them in which he paints a grand picture of the Lord of the church in one and displays a fine portrait of a wise-pastor in the other. The truths he expounds are timeless. They meet the deepest needs of the human soul.
We invite you to join us in reading these ancient letters with their present and future relevance.
