As usual, some of the many local Christian events are noted below. One “event” not listed is that the church which I attend has a planned program to pray for each church in our region over a period of 5 weeks. The aim of the prayers are to simply bless other churches. There are around 150 churches listed in our little prayer guide books! What an amazing number and diversity; and what an opportunity for God to do all sorts of different things through His Church!
It’s all happening in our region!
World Vision have asked that we again publicise Kids Hope Aus. This is a brilliant mentoring program which partners World Vision,a church, a teacher, a mentor, a family and a student who may have special needs. (I have details including a DVD). The mentor is given a special balanced program to use which takes 1 hour per week. Please ask if anyone is willing to volunteer to be a one on one mentor in a school.
Registration for the day is $20 at the door. An optional hot meal will be served for $5.
Please let the church know if you would like this meal when you register for catering purposes. Anyone over the age of 18 who is volunteering in a local church is welcome to participate. ALL CHURCHES MUST COME TO GRIPS WITH SAFETY MANAGEMENT. Attendance at this or following courses is highly recommended.

Absent is a documentary on the impact of fathers on children and society. The effect of fathers on their children’s lives is very significant, and the one thing that we all have in common is a father.
The documentary presents a powerful and truthful look at the very heart of many family pains that exist today. It is a real and honest insight into the deeper issues of fathers and the flow-on effect to every child and community.
