Helping Local ministers & pastors navigate the online church “thingy majigy”
THURSDAY 26th of March 11am to 12:30pm ONLINE or PHONE
Recent restrictions on public gathering due to Covid-19 have presented challenges for churches and how we conduct our public meetings; Sunday services, faith communities, connect groups, prayer meetings, etc.
In this time of uncertainty, as a Body of Christ, we are needed more than ever to continue providing a message of Faith, Hope, and Love to our community.
Some churches have successfully transitioned to Online meetings.
However, we understand that there are churches that are struggling in this area; on the how and the what in finding the best-fit solution for their congregation.
Together for the Illawarra, in partnership with Pulse 94.1, is going to hold a 1.5 hours Q&A session to help Illawarra ministers & pastors in navigating this specific online challenge.
There are many reasons why a pastor would resist going online:
It’s a huge step into the unknown, out of the comfort zone.
How does it work?
What will the people do?
The Sunday gathering is the focus of ministry.
Leading a church service is what leaders get paid to do.
Fear of letting people down.
What will happen to the offering?
Express any fears on Thursday
A few tech savvy locals have got together to help those of us who are just ‘normal’ to navigate the online world.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to find out, and be comfortable with, the most appropriate system for each individual church.
Pastoral Care is primarily looking after people. We must seriously examine our motives for pushing the barriers within the rules to simply maintain church meetings, as careful and confident as we might be.
Your congregation is not silly, they will thank you for being brave enough to put their individual wellbeing before maintaining the system.
Jump on board and explore on line church on Thursday.
KCI will voluntarily comply with best practice ‘Permission Based Email Marketing’. We will periodically connect with our contacts who regularly show on our ‘did not open’ report in order to affirm a willingness to remain on our mailing list.

There are currently 4 people from different churches (with Darryl Stewart as Coordinator) on the board who take responsibility for the network.
