Our monthly Disciple Multiplication training and strategising day for August is almost upon us!
Come and share with other committed disciple makers across the Illawarra. Recently we had workers seeking to reach Bulli, Woonona, Bellambi, Central Wollongong, Berkeley, Port Kembla and Albion Park meeting and supporting one another. We are looking forward to another great day 3rd August.
Saturday 3rd August 9am – 12pm.
Living Water Lutheran Church,
15 Burelli St Wollongong.
This month we will have two streams running concurrently:
Disciple Making 101 – this our first lesson where we learn how to share the gospel through prayer, mapping your world, sharing your story and simple gospel tools.
Multiplying Groups – facilitating communities of disciple multipliers to form and multiply.
A Training Course in Cross-Cultural Skills – Monday 5th August ( Bank Holiday)
The first of six weekly sessions of a course designed to help Australian Christians engage with people from other faith and ethnic backgrounds.
Presenter: Andrew Schachtel, co-author of the book Changing Lanes, Crossing Cultures.
Cost: free but participants are recommended to buy the Changing Lanes book for $18 which well be available.
The first “Together for the Illawarra” consultation on August 1st will include a free luncheon provided by the Illawarra Prayer Breakfast.
The goal is to get 50 Illawarra Christian leaders (maybe more) together in the same room.
The aim of the consultations is to explore collaboration in the Illawarra between all the churches both large and small, Evangelical, Charismatic, Pentecostal and Catholic on three areas of common interest: Community Engagement, Evangelism & Prayer. We believe these three areas are possible places where we can work together for the common good of the whole community in the Illawarra.
Every Friday 7am Prayer Breakfast . It’s a time for prayer for our region, fellowship and a godly start to the day. Meets at the offices of Warwick Marsh, Dads4Kids, behind Central Rd shops, through KFC carpark Unanderra.
Pray with, and for, other Christian leaders in your area.
KCI will voluntarily comply with best practice ‘Permission Based Email Marketing’. We will periodically connect with our contacts who regularly show on our ‘did not open’ report in order to affirm a willingness to remain on our mailing list.
