Subject for discussion: The bishops will share their thoughts on the current campaign to redefine marriage with the implications for freedom of speech in view of the July 2 Federal election and the proposed plebiscite on the redefinition of marriage, including the consequences of the same. (Comment will be will be invited and moderated by MC)

Event Purpose:To facilitate Bishop Bishop Peter Ingham and Bishop Peter Hayward as key Illawarra church leaders to share their concerns with other church leaders in the Illawarra and allow others to do the same and build Christian consensus on the importance of this issue and how it could effect our Christian freedoms in the future and the consequences to the broader society. 

We see this forum as rather the the beginning of fruitful and positive discussion on this topic and surrounding issues. We hope it could be the first of many such forums to serve the church of the greater Illawarra.

Resources available: The event organisers will have a resource table with a range of items available. Other are invited to bring resources to share with the churches of the Illawarra.

2. Pulse 941 is asking for support 

Josh Reid from Pulse 941 has asked that Christians support Pulse 941 in any of 4 separate ways:

3.  Shellharbour City Serve Report from Shane Cook:

Hi Pastors just wanted to give you an update from our last CityServe project. I have been to a number of the projects so far and I think that this would go down as one of the best to date. We had over 120 volunteers attend and completed all the projects by 1.30 pm. It was so encouraging to see so many more Chrisitains from other Churches attending on the day and the network with the council was awesome. It was also fantastic to work alongside so many of the Shellharbour Sharks committee members on the day, below is the feedback from them:

Yes words just can’t describe what our club is feeling at the moment with the time and effort your Volunteers gave to our club on the weekend. The transformation to the facilities at the ground are truly amazing. On behalf of Shellharbour Rugby League Football Club we would like you to pass onto all volunteers a big thankyou job well done guys and girls.
