1. 1 Samuel 22:2 describes the founding members of David’s mighty men:
All those who were in distress or in debt or discontented gathered around him, and he became their commander. About four hundred men were with him.
In distress. A refugee, a broken family, a revolution brewing, on the run.
In debt. No money, no super, no government handouts, creditors on the hunt
Discontented. Life holds no hope, lonely, unfairly treated, frustrated, angry

April 9-12 2015 Christ for the Coast outreach by local churches from the United Evangelical Alliance. The presenters of the “Jesus brings” series are Al Stewart (ex Anglican Bishop of Wollongong) and Dave Miers (ex Anglican church in Sydney, now in Melbourne)

Friday May 29 2015. The Annual Wollongong Prayer Breakfastwill be held on Friday, 29 May 2015. The speaker will be Lyle Shelton, the Managing Director of the Australian Christian Lobby.
Immediately following the breakfast there will be opportunity to talk to Lyle in a more informal setting. He can answer questions and bring the national issues into a perspective that relates to the local church.
