1. The catholic church and many others have stood up to be counted.
The Catholic church has had a very public confrontation with signatories from the business world who have openly supported homosexual (and other relationships) being included in the definition of marriage.
The Australian Christian Lobby are working hard to muster a Christian voice (see link)
The Australian Prayer Network has produced a MUST READ edition outlining the 10 myths about redefining marriage
Sandy Grant from St Michael’s Anglican Cathedral gave a well attended public lecture on the proposal to redefine the definition of marriage.
The Fatherhood Foundation had produced an excellent publication “21 Reasons Why Gender Matters”
Add your signature to the 60 000 who have already signed the Canberra Declaration.
We must not be ‘asleep in the light’. Banks and companies are for some reason flaunting their slide to moral bankruptcy. There is a significant war going on. Please examine the implications carefully and be publicly active in declaring Kingdom values.
Just in: In a 5 – 4 vote, non elected Supreme Court judges in the USA have changed the law for all of the 50 states concerning the rights of homosexuals to marry. The flow on effect is that homosexual couples now have the right as a spouse or parent on birth and death certificates and other legal papers. No one is talking about the rights of children.

SRE is under review. It’s easy to submit a statement of support through Youthworks. As with the historical institution of marriage, scripture in schools is under attack from a noisy, well organised minority. Watoto Children’s Choir. Sat June 28th Shellharbour Community Church (see link) and Sat Jul 18th Dapto Anglican Church. (See link). It’s an honour to have this famous and well loved choir in our region.
Keith Green ‘No Compromise’
Sat July 11, 7pm. at Figtree Anglican ChurchThis concert features the music of Keith Green, the legendary gospel singer/songwriter.
The show was launched at the Adelaide Fringe to sold out audiences and is visiting Sydney and surrounds for the first time.
All proceeds from ticket sales will go to support the ministry and work of Bush Church Aid around Australia.See link.

Tuesday July 21, First rehearsal for Worship over Wollongong (below)
Saturday August 22, 2015 Worship Over Wollongong (see website). This event celebrates the bi-centenary of the gospel being preached in the region. The event features a massed choir, a brass band and a youth band and will be held in the Wollongong Town Hall. The Wollongong Gospel Choir is the host choir. Prayer certainly is our most powerful weapon.
