Building a Church through Prayer
At the beginning of February there was a Ministers and Leaders’ Breakfast with Ps Steve Ahern to launch the 40 Days of Prayer and Evangelism. Steve shared the story of how prayer had transformed his church at C3 Jervis Bay. Last year their church grew 30%. People are coming to Christ and God is doing wonderful things. They have a huge emphasis on prayer, meeting for prayer 3 times a day, 6 days a week.
One humorous aside is that the pastor is relaxed enough to get his sermon inspirations from what God is speaking through his people in the prayer times.
Watch this short video of Steve Ahern sharing his story. It’s definitely not your usual approach to getting things done!
