The same sex marriage plebiscite is upon us
There has been a huge amount of media attention given to the plebiscite to determine whether the definition of marriage should be widened.
We are aware that this is a defining moment for our culture.
The Christian position is gravitating towards the NO vote. This is due to conviction, from heeding the experience of other nations, and from gaining a deeper understanding of the implications.
The Catholic church has an excellent publication Don’t Mess with Marriage, which has already offended the same sex lobby who then threatened to take the Tasmanian Archbishop to the Anti-Discrimination Commission See story
Many large denominations including the ACL are working with the Coalition for Marriage. The general strategy is to talk to neighbours and ring friends to explain the NO position. See the range of resources and training aids.
We are at the point now where, apart from urgent prayer, the last option seems to be a letterbox drop in our region.

Suggestions for letterbox distribution.
Churches get together with other churches in their fraternal area and simply divide up the area among the churches.
Christian leaders, who may not necessarily be pastors to grab some mates and hit the streets.
It would be terrific to have a coordinated approach.
