Australian Christian Lobby

Today the Australian Christian Lobby has launched its Australia Votes website, which contains answers from the parties to 22 questions put to them by ACL on a range of issues of interest to Christians.

Answers from the two major parties are both available, in addition to those of the Democratic Labour Party, Rise Up Australia Party, Liberal Democratic Party and Family First.

ACL is still awaiting responses from the Australian Greens and Australian Christians political parties and will post these as soon as they are available.

For those who are busy, we have identified four ‘touchstone issues’ in overseas aid, marriage, refugees and freedom of religion for you to quickly compare all the parties in a quick snapshot.

To compare the two major parties and their key policy differences, there is the ‘points of difference’ feature, highlighting seven key policy areas including gambling, marriage and sustainability.

Please visit the site and encourage others to do likewise in the lead-up to the election. Email the link australiavotes.org.au to friends and share it on social media. An informed vote is a wise vote.

There is also now just one week to go until the Make it Count 2013 Election Panel webcast on Monday, September 2. Please encourage your church to register.

God bless,

Lyle Shelton
