AUGUST 2013 eLINK
There are some some significant things happening in many of the churches in the region.
Captain Ray Lotty from the Wollongong Salvation Army shares his recent testimony. From being at the point of quitting, he and his wife Joy are finding a new energy and life in ministry. The whole Wollongong corps has a growing passion for prayer. The results are transformational. Read Ray’s moving testimony!
Some ministers and churches struggle when it comes time for the leader to resign, retire or transfer. Peter Starr from C3 Church at Thirroul is retiring from the position of senior pastor and has been planning the change for 5 years. Peter contacted a Christian church consultant who gave some excellent advice. Read Peter’s letter of resignation to the church. Peter is available for personal contact for those who may be able to use some help in planning for the future.
The testimonies page is growing and we continue to hear some amazing stories of what God is doing amongst our local churches. Included are a few of the healing miracles from the recent Kingdom Fire Conference.
The Anglican churches in the region have a new Archbishop, Dr Glenn Davies. For the non Anglicans in our midst, this would be great opportunity to contact your local Anglican church to congratulate and bless them.
Be informed for the upcoming elections:
There are at least four helpful sources of election information for Christians: The Australian Prayer Network, Australian Christian Lobby, the Canberra Declaration team and the National Alliance of Christian Leaders. For a history of their respective publications, see the following network links. APN, ACL,CD. NACL
Ps Steve Ryan, candidate for the Christian Democratic Party for the electorate of Gilmore, is seeking opportunities to speak in churches. More details
The Catholic church has issued a statement to guide their members on discerning how to vote in the upcoming elections; “Vote for the common good”.
