Another election is over and we as Christians can be pleased with the part we have played in highlighting the importance of justice and righteousness for our nation’s well-being.
More than 300 churches from around the country took the live webcast and thousands of people have since watched it online.
We’ve also had great feedback from our Australia Votes website which has answers from the political parties to 22 questions we put to them.
The fact that the parties would go to the trouble to provide these answers and that both Kevin Rudd and Tony Abbott were keen to provide exclusive video messages to us shows that as a constituency our votes are valued by politics.
Here is some feedback about ACL’s election activities we received:
“Mammoth effort by all to keep us informed, enabling a careful summation on which to base our vote. Thanks heaps for all your work!” – Bronwyn
“I just wanted to thank you for all the solid, simple, helpful information that your organisation has been disseminating in the last few weeks and months regarding political issues. I’ve found it beneficial in understanding different political parties’ positions on things, and what is happening in the political sphere.” – Joshua
God bless,
Lyle Shelton
Managing Director
