This week ACL has urged the Queensland Government to take action on outdoor advertising after another slogan from Campervan company Wicked Campers. See our Media Release.

It was only last week the Queensland Parliament had debated a bill on this issue. The bill was voted down but ACL’s Katherine Spackman reports on what happened in parliament. Listen to the radio package

Soon a cross-party parliamentary group will be heading overseas to look at how countries have legislated around the issue of prostitution.

Some countries have criminalised the purchase of sex (rather than the seller). ACT Liberal politician Giulia Jones talks about the planned trip in a radio interview.

ACL’s Managing Director Lyle Shelton reflects on the WA senate election results in an a radio interview. He also talks about the high price of holding the line on marriage in his blog piece this week.

Latest Wicked Campers slogan highlights need for action

The Australian Christian Lobby is calling for the Queensland Government to urgently act in light of the latest advertising slogan from Wicked Campers and introduce outdoor advertising laws to keep the public space in line with community standards.
